Saturday, 2 nd November, 2019
10.30 am – 6.00 pm
Methodist Hall, Alnmouth,

This year our guest speaker is Clare MacCumhaill of Durham University.

Clare Mac Cumhaill works mostly on perception, but with interests in emotion and action, as well as topics relating to aesthetics. She is involved in the In Parenthesis project, which focuses on the life, work and friendships of Iris Murdoch, Philippa Foot, Elizabeth Anscombe and Mary Midgley. The project is investigating whether these philosophers can be said to form a distinct philosophical school.
Clare joins Michael Bavidge to explore some of the issues raised in Parts I & II of his recently published book, Philosophy in the Borders.

Fee: £15 payable on the day
